Application

Our members are primarily financial wholesale market practitioners in trading, sales, treasury management, and operations. They deal in asset classes covering currencies, interest rates, equities, and commodities. They hold positions ranging from junior traders & dealers to treasury managers to heads and directors of markets in banks and financial institutions operating in Tanzania.

Types of Memberships:

Ordinary Membership – is offered at the discretion of the committee to any individual, directly or indirectly involved in legally recognized wholesale financial markets activities. Ordinary members are hence, professionals who:
i) Are employed in financial institutions, supervised and regulated by relevant official regulatory authorities (Including Forex Bureaus, Microfinance, pension funds, brokers, and other organizations with treasury departments/functions.
ii) Have been so occupied for a minimum of six (6) months.
Honorary (Associate) Membership – “Associate Membership” may be granted as per the Paris Council Resolution of May 2000 to Members who can help further the cause of ACI-Tanzania like Service Providers & international brokers. They have to subscribe to the ACI Tanzania adopted Model Code, apply as all other members, and pay the local designated subscription fees.

We are proud to endorse this work and to have formed part of its history.

The FX Global Code is officially endorsed by the FX Committees, central bankers and regulators in over 15 countries, with active participation in its maintenance by all sides of the industry via our Committee for Professionalism. As the wholesale market evolves, the ACI has been part of the leadership team, supporting the industry to adhere to Codes of Conduct, through active engagement, and the multi-dimensional ELAC Portal.
